Blossom's Mother's Day event

Blossom's Mother's Day event

this weekend!

Stand-up Comedy Show for a good cause, Blossom Birth Services presents:

Every Day is Mother’s Day…Or Else!

Featuring Comedienne Jacki Kane for a pre-Mother's Day evening of laughs

Saturday, May 5, 2012, 7-9:30pm

555 Waverley St, Downtown Palo Alto

(great girls night out, but we also welcome dads and babes-in-arms!)

www.blossombirth.org/mothersday

 call 650-321-2326.

Jacki Kane is the mother of two children, a Mom Comedienne, author,

and Founder of "TIME OUT: The Mother of all Comedy Shows." In her

former life, Jacki worked as an advertising copywriter and stand-up

comic, but quit doing comedy when she got tired of living out of her

car. After having two small children, she found that comedy

practically writes itself. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her

husband Brian, seven-year-old daughter, ten-year-old son and a herd of

dust bunnies.

At the event, we will honor Linda Sparling founder to Tiny Tots, with

Blossom's first Mothers' Day Achievement Award. Linda has been "mom"

to many of us over her 46 years of dedicated service to Bay Area

Families through Tiny Tots cloth diaper service. This award honors an

individual in our community who provides supreme quality with a local

touch, respecting the needs of mothers while providing them the

support they need in parenting choices.

Carmel Blue - Pregnancy & Parenting - Yoga For Fertility - May 16th- June 6th

Carmel Blue is offering a special 4 part series

of Yoga for Fertility

taught by

Rachel Yellin.

Yoga for Fertility - a 4 week series.

This in-depth series is specifically designed to help cultivate awareness around the physical, emotional and mental challenges surrounding fertility.
No prior yoga experience is necessary

Practicing specific yoga postures stimulates and tones the reproductive system, enhances the flow of energy and circulation through the body, and balances hormone levels by improving endocrine function. Yoga helps reduce stress, anxiety, depression, all of which can accompany — and exacerbate — fertility challenges. This small group class is designed for women who are trying to conceive, either naturally or through assisted reproductive technology.

Class will cover:

*Breathing to bring prana (life energy) to reproductive organs

•Mantra meditation to focus your mind on what you want

•Postures for circulation and hormone balancing

•Hypnotic relaxation specific for fertility

We will also have time for education and discussion around other physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of conception and mothering.

Dates:

Classes are a series of 4 Wednesdays, May 16th – June 6th.

6pm to 7:30pm
